Dyscalculia - A Math Learning Disability
Do you have a student who really struggles with math? Read up on the symptoms of dyscalculia to learn more about this learning disability. Also, read a guest post at Kids Math Teacher where a parent talks about her son's dyscalculia diagnosis.

The following videos describe more:

  1. I was a student that struggled with math! I wasn't diagnosed until the end of grade 10 after years and years of frustration. Dyscalculia is a tricky disability and I'm glad that it is getting a little more attention. I'm 38 years old and know for a fact that none of my teachers knew anything about it when I was in school. I coped, learned strategies and made it through. I am an elementary school teacher now, but I remember back to when I thought I was "dumb" too.

    1. Thank you for posting, Jennifer! If you have any thoughts to share with other teachers, I'd love to know more!

  2. Cindy, thanks for posting this and referring to Sharon's interview. I like the videos you found : )
