Fun, FREE!, Hands-on Math Units

Two of my favorite units from The Math Learning Center are now FREE!! They include:

Hands-On Math: Measurement with Marbles (click to free pdf)

Hands-On Math: Geometry with Geoblocks (click to free pdf)

I've repeatedly used the lessons with math groups. You can find my reflections on the geometry lessons here. And the marble roll lessons here and here.

  1. Thank you!! Almost all of our math "lessons" are hands-on activities, since that is how my son learns best. I will definitely be checking these out!

  2. I'd like to up my creativity to make all my lessons more useful hands on. The frameworks we use are good, but most of the time I feel my kiddos aren't getting it. I will certainly do my best to use this. Thanks for sharing.

  5. We are doing this in March, after we finish our American Symbols Unit. The tube collecting tub is overflowing....which is building some excitement about what is coming:-) Thanks for the additional lesson ideas!
